Pomelo is a large citrus fruit native to Southeast Asia, particularly valued in Vietnam for its sweet, mildly tangy flavor and cultural significance. It features a thick, bumpy rind that can be green or yellow, and its juicy segments can be pale yellow, pink, or red, depending on the variety. Often enjoyed fresh or in salads, Vietnamese pomelo is associated with good fortune and is commonly given as a gift during festivals, especially the Mid-Autumn Festival (*Tết Trung Thu*). It is primarily cultivated in southern provinces like Tiền Giang and Bến Tre.
